text-align: justify;\">El ricobendazol (Ricovic) es el sulf\u00f3xido de albendazol (el metabolito principal del albendazol), y muestra las mismas propiedades fundamentales que el albendazol.<\/span><br style=\"font-size: 17px; text-align: justify;\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 17px; text-align: justify;\">Por ser m\u00e1s hidrosoluble, el ricobendazol (Ricovic) puede administrarse como\u00a0inyectable, algo imposible con el albendazol.<\/span><br style=\"font-size: 17px; text-align: justify;\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 17px; text-align: justify;\">El albendazol es el benzimidazol con mayor espectro de acci\u00f3n, pues, a la dosis terap\u00e9utica es eficaz contra\u00a0nem\u00e1todos\u00a0gastrointestinales y pulmonares, incluidas larvas inhibidas de varias especies, as\u00ed como contra numerosos\u00a0cestodos\u00a0(tenias) y\u00a0trematodos\u00a0(Fasciola hep\u00e1tica).<\/span><br style=\"font-size: 17px; text-align: justify;\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 17px; text-align: justify;\">Adem\u00e1s de inhibir la polimerizaci\u00f3n de la tubulina en los helmintos, (Los benzimidazoles consumen progresivamente las reservas energ\u00e9ticas del par\u00e1sito) el albendazol y el ricobendazol inhiben tambi\u00e9n la enzima fumarato-reductasa que es espec\u00edfica de los helmintos y que reduce el gluc\u00f3geno, lo que causa la muerte del gusano por hambre. No podemos utilizar MELOVET 2.0 MG en perras gestantes o lactantes ni en cachorros menores de 6 semanas o de un peso inferior a los 4 kg y en gatos menores de 2 kg de peso.
