Despu\u00e9s de un solo tratamiento con METRILAK\u00ae, las concentraciones de cefapirina en el tejido endometrial se mantienen por encima de la concentraci\u00f3n inhibitoria m\u00ednima (MIC) de las bacterias sensibles durante al menos 24 horas. La suspensi\u00f3n se tolera bien, lo que permite una buena difusi\u00f3n de la cefapirina en el endometrio y se puede aplicar con facilidad. Montar el cat\u00e9ter en la jeringa. Por v\u00eda rectal con la mano enguantada, agarrar el c\u00e9rvix. Introducir el cat\u00e9ter en el lumen uterino a trav\u00e9s del c\u00e9rvix con movimientos oscilatorios suaves del mismo. Inyectar el contenido de la jeringa en el lumen uterino. Generalmente basta con un tratamiento para obtener una curaci\u00f3n completa.
